The calung is an Inonesian instrument played by shaking the bambu rods. Hans buys the instrument in Jakarta during one of his business trips there.

End-of-life: In May 2009 the instrument is recycled due to limited space in the appartment.

Hans father sture helps Hans to build a small zither with steel strings. The instrument is called "Lillsittran" and is used in Swedish schools and homes in the 1930:s.
