2020-01: End of life

After using the compass in the winter, a bubble has emerged. Therefore it cannot be used any longer.

Hans' old compass is broken. He has a spare compass but needs a new reliable main compass for the ARDF World Championships in Kazakstahn. He buys this right hand version of the Silva Race 360 Jet at Outdoorexperten in Västerås for 715 SEK

End-of-life: In March 2015 the compass is sent for repair/replacement and Hans gets a new Silva Spectra instead..

  • When tripping in the forest the housing might get rotated, destroying the bearing.

2015-03-12: Broken compass

During an orienteering competition in Kolsva, Hans is running in the wrong direction. This because the compass needle is stuck in the housing.

Hans returns the compass to Outdoorexperten claiming the 1-year guarantee.

2015-04-17: End of life

Hans picks up a new replacement compass at Outdoorexperten and does not notice that he gets the Silva Race S JET instead. When discovered some days later, he accepts this switch because he likes that color coded compass.

During the ARDF World Championships in Serbia 2012, Hans buys a Moscow compass that seems be of good quality. It has a fast and stable needle.

This compass is Hans' favourite compass during many years.

2019-12: End of life

After som problems during competitions Hans realises that the needle, sometimes, is stuck in the housing. Therefore it is discarded.
