Using the adenture video camera Go Pro Hero, creates a lot of data and the media computer's 2 disks where getting full. Therfore a larger storage system was required. Hans had so far relied on backup using external disks. It would be nice to have a some sort of automatic mirroring of data.

The requirements was at least a 2-disk NAS with USB3 connection. Synology had a perfect one offering a lot of software support.

Hans equippped the unit with two hard disks Western Digital RED 3.5" 3TB SOHO NAS SATA/600 64MB.

Good

Quiet and high quality
A lot of advanced software included and an easy to use configuration interface.

Bad

Soo many nice options available that it is difficult to chose what to use.
