Hans current 7-years old flatbed scanner Scanjet 5470c suddenly fails in the spring 2009. The error is related to the external power adapter or an internal fault. Hans has tested flatbed scanners for scanning slides and negatives, but, he discovers that he also had about 20 APS-type of films. In addition, the scanner gives a better quality for all film scans but most of all higher scanning speed than the flatbed scanners.
Originally Hans bought the ScanMaker i800 in May for SEK 4236, but the quality of the scans is not very good compared to the flatbed scanner he had.
