A number of film formats have been used by Hans Sundgren. They are all listed here.


Negative 127 film

The 127 format is a roll film where the width of the exposed frame is determined by the camera. The Kodak Brownie camera Hans used, produed 12 square negatives per film.

Negative 126 film, Instamatic

The 126 format is also called Instamatic. Film frame, 126 Instamatic

Film width: 35 mm

Negative 110 film, Pocket

The 110 format is also called pocket instamatic.. Film frame, 110 Pocket

Negative APS film, IX240

The APS (Advanced Photo System) film was enclosed in a cartridge, also as developed film. The most important feature with APS was the date and time recording on a magnetic strip. This data was then printed on the back of the developed prints. Another feature was that the photos could be taken in 3 different formats; Classic, High Definition and Panoramic. The same size of the original was used though, only cropping was done in the laboratory. Film frame, APS  IX240
